    Wow, your new house is gorgeous! Kolby and I are really going to miss y'all. You have been like adoptive parents for us while we've been in Illinois. We will be praying for a safe move and for you two as you adjust to your new home/state! :)

There is a song  called 'Give Thanks',  written by Henry Smith and recorded by songwriter and singer Don Moen. 'Give Thanks' is simple in it's lyrics but powerful in it's message. "Give thanks with a grateful heart  Give thanks unto the Holy One  Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son   And now let the weak say, 'I am strong'  Let the poor say, 'I am rich  Because of what the Lord has done for us'   Give thanks" I Thessalonians 5 says " 16  Rejoice always,   17  pray continually,   18  give thanks in all circumstances;  for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." So many people struggle to give thanks when life hits hard. Week five of the online bible study with Melissa Taylor  brought us to Chapter 5 in the book Stressed-Less Living, Finding God’s Peace in Your Chaotic World by Tracie Miles  This chapter titled “Take Back Your Life” was filled with so much insight it’s hard to unwrap it all.  One of the sentences in this chapter that really hit me was: ·       “True faith is not passive, but active…” The Dictionary defines faith as “ complete trust or confidence in someone or something” and “ belief that is not based on proof”. The biblical definition of faith can be found In Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1. Here the Greek translation is telling us that faith is both the substance of things hoped for and the evidence that things exist that are not yet perceived with the senses.
