The Power of Thanksgiving -God's Timing

We are all awaiting the arrival of a new little one in our family. This baby has been incubating for 42 weeks and very happy in her little cocoon.

Momma has been in a low stage labor for about 48 hours at this point and is growing anxious and weary of the intensity of the contractions and the overdue expected arrival. It's hard to stand by and watch my baby girl be anxious about the birth of her own baby.  I want to cradle her as I did when she was little.  I want to take away those uncertainties and anxious feelings. I know she's more than ready to release her little one into this world so that she can love on her and raise her. But it's in God's hands.

Ecclesiastes reminds us that there is a time for everything, and it's not in our control   3:1 Everything has its own time, and there is a specific time for every activity under heaven: 2 a time to be born....

Psalms 139: assures us that even though we worry and fret about the time for eviction from the womb, God reminds us that He knew us from the very beginning and He has it all under control.

13 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. 14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.…

I am so very thankful that God's timing is the perfect timing.  It will make my kisses even sweeter when I finally get to hold this precious baby.

  1. How true. The three days in my life of waiting for news of babies to come have been the longest ever. But The Lord is never late, He is always right on time. And no matter what the circumstances, babies always seem to come when they are good and ready, not necessarily on anyone else's best timeline! :)
