The Visit Part I - The Pets

We went to Chillicothe recently to visit family. This trip I took pictures of the pets. They are part of the family, but often we overlook them when thinking of family pictures.

This is Cody, Larry and Billie's dog. Bear was too shy to pose for the camera, but he's their other dog, and yes, he looks like a little black bear.




This is Cass. He has lost a LOT of weight believe it or not. Cass is one of those "curious" cats and loves to investiage anything. In this case, he wanted to know what was in my purse. Dad and Laurie get a kick out of watching his many antics.


This is Sam. Sam is beautiful and he knows it. Not in an arrogant kind of way, but he is one self confident cat. Sam is older than Cass and becomes quite annoyed when Cass wants to play with his tail, or just reach out a "touch" him as Sam walks by.

  It was a dark and stormy night…… Just kidding My story starts on a beautiful day in Hocking Hills, Ohio. Our family all met together down south of where I live, in the beautiful county of Hocking Hills, Ohio. Christmas tablescape

I enjoy creating tablescapes. Whether it is for a holiday or just a special meal with family or friends, I like making the table "special". Tablescaping is another way to express my creativity. I will see a dish or piece of art (Pier 1 is my favorite place to be inspired) and just have to buy it! I can almost see a table done with one inspiration piece. My honey gave up on me a long time ago with telling me "no more dishes" or "you don't need that" and just goes with the flow now, although I still get the occasional lifted eyebrow. I've had a few friends ask me what a tablescape is and although there is no true definition, it simply means making your table special by using props, decor and coodinated place settings to create a mood or atmosphere. Five Minute Friday - Soon I feel like I am still in the same situation I’ve been in for way too long. I have friends where I live, but I don’t feel like I have close friends. We’ve lived here for 15+ years and yet it’s my out of state friend that will call to check in on me.   It’s been tough lately. Emotionally anyway.   I lost my oldest brother a year ago, and I feel like I still haven’t snapped back into life as it was before. I’ve been quiet lately too, as in not mingling with my group of networking friends, or my work friends, or my church friends, or God.   I’ve been feeling down and tired.   Yet not one of my local “friends” have called or texted me to check in on me.
